Fabulous Tour - If you're looking for a unique experience of New York City, I highly recommend Eric Ferrara's Jewish Mob of the Lower East Side walking tour. Eric's depth of knowledge is... read more truly impressive as he brings history to life with engaging storytelling. He expertly weaves together the rich tapestry of Italia mob history with intriguing insights into the Jewish mob, offering a well-rounded view of the neighborhood's complex past.
Eric not only has a wealth of information but is also a genuinely nice guy who clearly cares about his guests' experience. Throughout the tour, he answered all our questions with patience and expertise, making it clear that he is a true authority on the subject. His deep connection to the area, having been born and raised there, adds an authentic layer to the tour that you won't find elsewhere. He pointed out numerous important locations, each one tied to a story that left us eager to learn more. Later, he even followed up with an email packed with recommended books, movies, and podcasts to continue our exploration of the topic.
Whether you're a history buff or just curious about the city's past, Eric Ferrara's tour is a must-do. You’ll walk away not only with a greater understanding of the Lower East Side's criminal history but also with a deeper appreciation for the vibrant culture that shaped it.

Excellent tour by a professional guide! - Took my family on Eric's Mafia Tour of Little Italy. He was a great professional tour guide! Teenagers didn't have as much appreciation for the history so we... read more made a few concessions and tailored the tour to our needs as well as our interests. He also sent some follow on materials for us to check out.
Great sense of stories, how La Cosa Nostra actually formed, worked and operates vs the sensationalized media version and just a general sense of how the Lower East Side evolved ethnically, economically, and turned into what it is today.
So much has changed. You get to see the actual places where the social clubs, nightclubs and childhood homes were but have to now use a bit of imagination to put yourself back in those eras.
The Lower East Side has the most fascinating history of any real estate in America so take as much opportunity to learn about it as possible!
Thanks Eric!

Make this a must do on your trip - After lots of research, I booked this as a present for my partner as he is interested in the mafia.
As it is a private tour, my daughter,... read more her boyfriend and myself tagged along. Best decision we made. Even if you have little interest, Eric, the founder and guide was so knowledgeable he made you want to know more. He’s not reciting a script, his son is the 5th generation to live in the area and has many personal stories.
A surprise highlight of the trip and would highly recommend for anyone.
Thank you Eric.
